The Government Cloud
The private cloud service managed by RIT is intended for Estonian government institutions, local government institutions, and legal entities performing public duties. Its goal is more efficient management of government information systems and easier usability.
Public Cloud
A cloud service accessible to a wider user base of public institutions, offered in cooperation with private companies, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS. It is suitable when the service is essential but less critical from a security standpoint, and flexibility and the ability to quickly scale up or down are the primary considerations.
Data Embassy
Critical data collections can be backed up abroad. Estonian data collections are securely located overseas – this way, we support Estonia’s digital continuity.

We continuously develop services together with experienced specialists, ensuring strict security procedures and access management. Administrators undergo background checks before gaining access, all activities are logged, and we systematically verify the integrity of the logs. To minimise human error, we use automation. The service is regularly externally audited and meets the ISKE H security level.
