Estonian IT Centre keeps digital state

Digital government means the use of digital technology for the provision of public services and the organisation of public administration and governance. An ever-functioning and robust digital government ensures that our people can continue to work smoothly and effectively, and our country continues to function.

The Estonian IT Centre keeps the digital state where...
...technology makes people’s work easier, more productive, more sustainable, safer and more enjoyable,
...solutions operate invisibly and rely on the largest technological common part, creating a superior user experience and user satisfaction.

We manage the digital government in a statesmanlike, innovative, enthusiastic, caring and conscious way.

A user-centred digital government is accessible and easy to use. User-centred digital services work for everyone, when they need them, where they need them, just the way they want to use them.

RIT keeps the human-centred digital government accessible.

In a secure digital government, data and services are always reliable and protected, with as few restrictions as possible, because trust is the basis for development and cooperation.

RIT keeps the secure digital government reliable.

A common digital government enables, encourages and supports cooperation between all those who use it. In a common digital government, solutions rely on the greatest technological commonality, so it takes less time and resources to make systems work together as amicably as we do.

RIT keeps the common digital government on a strong foundation.

In a working digital state, solutions are invisible and seamless. A well-functioning digital government saves resources usually wasted on unnecessary paperwork and allows institutions to focus on what matters most.

RIT keeps the digital government functioning.

A sustainable digital state does not waste time, money, natural resources nor opportunities to be smarter when using the cyberspace.

RIT keeps our sustainable digital state lasting.

The evolving digital government is constantly changing, rising to new levels every day and seeking fresh approaches to new challenges.

RIT keeps the developing digital government flexible.

A powerful digital government has more strength than our population and land area would suggest. A powerful digital government is a role model and a trendsetter in the world.

RIT is proud to maintain the powerful digital government.

The logo of the Estonian IT Centre features the acronym RIT. The green dot on the ‘i’ of the acronym is used as a design element. The dot symbolises:

  • a green light on hardware -– our solutions and standards ensure the functioning of workstations, the system and the digital government;
  • freshness and innovation – we value innovation by developing new functioning solutions based on the principle of ‘less is more’;
  • openness and development – we are there for our users and open to cooperation and development.
